The dwelling is located on a family owned farm with planning permission being obtained through Planning Policy Statement 21 "Dwelling on a Farm"

The overall design takes into consideration the outstanding views over neighboring countryside were Ballymena, Cullybackey and Slemish Mountain can be seen in the distance.
