Planning Permission & Building Control News

It is necessary to apply for both Planning Permission and Building Control Approval in most cases were building work, structural alterations or changes to a heating system are required, although there are some curcumstances were certain works may be exempt. 



We can provide free impartial advice as to when planning and building control applications and approvals may be required. There may also be other applications that may be needed depending on the type of work you propose to carry out. 


A recent review of Building Regulations 2000 have introduced a change to the Regulations The new Building Regulations were made on the 15th May 2012 over two phases and came into affect on 31st October '12, 
Consultation on Phase 3 will address proposed changes to fees relating to the Regulations and will commence later this year.
We are currently receiving training and guidance on all these changes
and will be able to give advice on how the changes will affect future construction work.
